Vinyl is already banned in several countries and the US is beginning to consider this.
Made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), it is fairly hard, like the pipes at the hardware store. Then toxic chemicals are added to make the material more pliable and stretchy. But the basic nature of PVC, a hard plastic, leads to microscopic cracks when stretched. So as soon as you pull them on, you’re in trouble. Be careful using vinyl gloves around chemicals. The list of chemicals they CANNOT be used with is far longer than the safe list.
HDPE gloves are CHEAP
Low value in more ways than one. They offer the least effective pretection of any, increasing your liability.
Hard plastic, high density poly gloves simply do not stretch.
Frequent glove breaches mean even more frequent glove changes – you use more, you buy more.
Nitrile has issues you should be aware of too.
Nitrile, a benchmark for disposable gloves, are first and foremost – expensive. When you need frequent glove changes for production quality, this can strain any budget. Many try to work around this by wearing the gloves too long or too many times – pulling the same gloves on and off. Never a good idea.
Nitrile gloves for most uses can be overkill. Particularly if you are having to buy thicker, more expensive versions just to keep them from ripping apart.

Better employee compliance = Better outcomes
Users generally remark that the gloves are not only easier to pull on, but they also seem to feel cooler. That may be, but we definitely say that these gloves are thinner and more responsive to feel than vinyl, textured for good grip, and far less tear resistant than vinyl or nitrile.
That said, getting rank and file employees to use these protective gloves properly should be an easier task – reducing your liability of contamination and chemical exposure.
And PPI gloves are economical enough to keep up with the proper use of gloves – single use, changing between tasks and consistant use.
